who are we?
We’re designers and developers based out of Venice Beach, California. As a group of friends with a passion for tech, we built NGL in hopes of creating social media that allows users to deepen their connections with real-world friends in an online space.
NGL isn’t our first rodeo; we’ve been creating apps since the dinosaur days of social media. You’ve probably already got more than one of our apps on your phone!
our goal
We believe that our online friendships are just an extension of the real world, and not a replacement. Your online interactions with your friends should deepen your connections rather than strain them. NGL allows you to get to know your friends authentically through exciting and intriguing Q&A games, strengthening your friendships and helping you be your authentic self.
It's hard to make real friends, and it's hard to be authentic online today. NGL is here to help you do both in a fun and safe way.

When we dreamed up NGL, we knew it was something special. But we had no idea how far it would go. Or how fast.
In 2021, NGL was a concept we kicked around the group chat. Today, it’s an app with millions of daily users around the world, helping our users connect with each other while staying safe online. It’s clear NGL struck a chord with people, filling a major void in the social media space.
That happened thanks to our NGL community: you! You make the app awesome. You keep it real. We’re glad you’re here. And we couldn’t do it without you.
